Balance...a tricky thing to find here in Rwanda

Tonight I took the family out to dinner, and we did our traditional "HIGHS" and "LOWS" around the dinner table. There was laughter and good conversation. I am truly blessed with each member of my family. Thank you Jesus for giving me such wonderful children and a best friend and wife. I love you all. 

I am learing more of the language

Some of the best teachers are children. I would take an item like book, and they would say the Rwandan word, and I would say the English.

Today was very special to me

Today I did photographer duty...I had so much fun greeting and touching with lots of hugs and smiles these awesome people. 37 families were processed today. 

You do it unto the least of these...you do it to me.

I honestly do not understand why this is true. When you are here you get this terrible feeling in your gut that you are only contributing a tiny drop of water in an ocean of poverty. I have to constantly remind myself of GFR's tag line, that we need to look at transforming the world... one family at a time. God please help me remember this, and help me do my part.
